通过十二幅照相写实主义油画,这件作品重构了我在法国第一年所经历的十二个日常生活片段——那是一段在社会、艺术与地缘政治层面上的文化适应期。我逐渐意识到,绘画这一媒介已无法再转译我所感受的一切: 社会文化的差异、“新”的存在方式, 以及我与“时间”之间不断变化的关系。于是我选择了一种直接的叠加形式——将一段段记录我内心独白的单频影像以字幕的形式直接投射于油画的表面。

三重时间层次组织着作品与时间的关系: 拍摄照片的瞬间、照片向绘画图像的转译, 以及字幕视频对叙事的重构——后二者也正是这件动态影像作品自身在展览场域的时间, 亦即观者在作品内形成经验的时间。 这件作品标志着我创作实践的一个转折点——从静态图像迈向动态影像的过渡。我开始借助摄影机“转述”不同社会图景之间时间错位的生成过程, 旨在使时间性本身得以被感知, 并还原一种处于持续“生成”（becoming）之中的社会身份所内蕴的张力。

Through twelve photorealist paintings, this work reconstitutes twelve fragments of daily life experienced during my first year in France — a period of social, artistic, and geopolitical acculturation. I came to realize that the medium of painting could no longer translate what I was experiencing: the socio-cultural difference, the «new» ways of being, and my changing relation to time. I therefore opted for a more direct form of superposition — projecting a single-channel video of my interior monologues, in subtitle form, directly onto the surface of the paintings. This gesture transforms the twelve still tableaux into an animated catharsis.

Three temporal layers organize the relation to time: the moment of capture, the passage into the painted image, and the a posteriori reconstruction of the cathartic narrative — which is also the time of the moving-image work itself, the time the viewer experiences within the installation.

This project marks a turning point in my practice — the passage from the still image to the moving image. With the camera, I began to «transcribe» the becoming of the temporal dislocations between different social landscapes, in order to render temporality itself sensible, and to restitute the inner tension of a social identity in constant becoming.
